Belgica (the Belgische Fruitveiling's very own apple variety)

The appearance

Medium-sized apple with a carmine red colour against an intense green background. 

The taste

Thanks to its origins, a hybrid of different standard apple trees, Belgica has a
nostalgic flavour and a pleasant aroma that only really comes to the fore after
a day at room temperature.

Picking

From end August to mid-September.

Storage

Belgica is an autumn apple and really comes to the fore in September - October.
