The appearance

Rough, bronze-coloured skin. Becomes gold-coloured on ripening. A typical autumn pear.

The taste

Its white flesh has a distinctive and slightly sharp taste. Extremely good dessert and cooking pear.

Picking

Beginning of September.

Storage

Short shelf life. Before displaying the pears, store them in the coolest possible place (at between 1 to 3 °C).
